Art Therapy provides children with a space to explore their difficulties and build upon their strengths in a safe and supported space. Art materials are used as a vehicle for expression, communication, reflection and change.Children seen by an Art therapist do not need to have a love of art or skill in art making. The relationship with the therapist and engagement with the art materials are central in creating the opportunityfor the child to get to know themselves better and to build resilience and an improved state of adjustment and well being.
