Currently, there are several aspects to the project here at SVFP. We offer several services to both parents and children but we aim to support the family as a whole. In line with our Mission Statement and Values, we strive to provide to those who are in need of our services.

Help for Families

For families, SVFP provides the following services:

  • Family Space is a service for young families and aims to support the whole family providing:
    • Drop in center
    • Crèche facilities
    • Alternative therapies
    • 1 to 1 support 
    • Parenting courses, Healthy living courses
    • Trips/visits to places of interest
    • Facilitated play sessions for parents and children
    • Support groups
    • Arts & crafts sessions
    • ESOL classes
    • Dad's Space Programme
    • Healthy Living Programme

Therapeutical help for school children

  • Creative Arts Therapies provides therapeutic support for school children (4-13 years old) experiencing social, emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties and who may be experiencing family difficulties such as separation or bereavement or who may be looked after or adopted. 
    • Qualified state registered Art and Drama therapists offer 1 to 1 sessions and facilitate group therapy work according to need
    • Therapists are registered with the HCPC and carry enhanced DBS
    • Therapists work onsite in schools, here at SVFP and in community centres
    • Therapists can also provide a psychological thinking space for school and staff and key adults working with children seen in therapy
