Volunteer with us! Why Volunteer with us? People volunteer for many different reasons: Meet new people- Volunteering can be a great way of meeting new people and making new friends. Gain valuable experience- Students studying childcare, social work, sociology and psychology, gain practical experience to assist their studies. Learn new skills- St Vincent’s Family Project want to help you learn and develop new skills and so we provide a full induction and ongoing training and supervision throughout your time volunteering with us. Flexible- We can accommodate the volunteer roles to fit a time that’s suitable for you according to availability and personal circumstances; from a couple of hours to two days a week. Also, age is no barrier; everyone is welcome! Give back to the local community- The work of St Vincent’s Family Project depends on volunteers to enable us to deliver our services. Without our volunteers, we simply cannot provide the affordable and high-quality services we are currently delivering to our families. As a volunteer you will make a difference in many lives. Volunteers carry out a range of roles including: Making our service users feel welcome Child care in the crèche Family support work in the Drop-In Centre Complementary therapies Fundraising Office administration ICT technical support Graphic design and publicity Web design and writing Wherever possible we match availability, interest and skills to our needs.
